It is with profound sadness our family at Vohne Liche Kennels must announce the death of one of our own. Jerry Tigler, one of our drivers and maintenance do it all, passed away Friday. He was 70 years of age.

It is with profound sadness our family at Vohne Liche Kennels must announce the death of one of our own. Jerry Tigler, one of our drivers and maintenance do it all, passed away Friday. He was 70 years of age.

Jerry worked for over twenty-five years for United Technologies. He had worked as Miami County (IN) Animal Control Officer, and had spent the last 5 years with VLK. He was a veteran on the United States Army and had served honorably in Viet Nam.

Jerry was one of those if you need it done ask him once and it was done kind of guys. He was invaluable in our transports of canines and to date is the only employee to never fail to get a dog on an aircraft. An impressive feat!

He was always smiling because the little things didn't get to him and he just went about his day in a way most of us wished we could.

Jerry, our friend, you will be missed.
